Coaching philosophy

I strive to create an environment for my teams and players that will challenge them to become better soccer players, teammates and friends, on and off the field. It is important for young players to learn that it is all right to fail, but it is NEVER ok to not give your best efforts. I try to create a tactical structure best suited for each team’s strengths and weaknesses, and one that promotes positive play, attacking minded soccer. I believe in the beautiful game!

Three most important skills to master

  1. Technical skills
    2. Passion about soccer
    3. Reading the game, anticipating of plays, playing smart

Player expectations for evaluations

I look first at what kind of work ethic the players has. Over time, with dedication and good work ethic, other areas will develop. I then look for qualities with and without the ball; first touch, passing range, and speed of play are very important to me.
